The Geospatial Analyst will conduct research on remote sensing and machine learning to develop models that produce spatial data products required for large-scale agricultural systems modeling.

• Develop and improve machine learning models for estimating crop biophysical properties using satellite remote sensing datasets.
• Implement spatial and remote sensing data processing algorithms to produce datasets to integrate and/or assimilate into crop models.
• Assist with literature review, reports, and publishing research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field, with four years of related experience.
• Or, Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field, with two years of related experience.
• Experience working on spatial data processing using ArcGIS, R, and/or Python.
• Experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience working with satellite remote sensing data and data mining techniques.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.

• Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment.
• Expertise in data assimilation techniques.

Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
