Performs highly complex (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves planning and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCentral Counties Services incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position.
- Oversees and provides guidance in troubleshooting and solving problems relating to computer systems or programs.
- Oversees studies and the preparation of reports that include study findings, recommendations, and instructions for proposed system implementations; formulates logical descriptions of problems; and devises optimum solutions.
- Analyzes and tests new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyzes and defines agency disaster recovery responsibilities and procedures.
- Coordinates, plans, and schedules the installation or training for new or revised systems and defines business process requirements.
- Designs, modifies, and implements new or revised systems to serve new purposes or improve work flow.
- Details input and output record formats for computer programs, designs forms, and writes instructions for the use of forms.
- Determines operational, technical, and support requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of data processing, data communications, and computer and management information systems.
- Prepares and defines the goals of the system and devises flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs.
- Assists with the preparation of cost-benefit and return-on-investment analysis to aid in decisions on computer system modifications and implementations.
- May evaluate and recommend action on testing and certification of software and hardware upgrades.
- May write and update personal computer and mainframe application programs.
- May assist in information systems security administration.
- May assist in the design, development, and maintenance of various computer applications.
- May assign and/or supervise the work of others.
- Must stay compliant with all required training.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program’s processes.

- Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures. Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center. - Frequent daily driving within the catchment area is required.
Experience in systems analysis and design work. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field is generally preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
