Vietnamese Interpreters - Temple, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for individuals who speak Vietnamese and English fluently. As a face‑to‑face interpreter, you will assist clients during medical, community, and social service appointments by relaying oral information between speakers of these languages. The interpreter will work in consecutive or simultaneous mode as requested, and must adhere to published Standards of Practice and Codes of Ethics.

• Speak Vietnamese and English fluently.
• Render messages accurately, without omissions or additions, maintaining message content, context, and style.
• Facilitate communication between parties who do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another.
• Exude extreme professionalism through appearance, attitude, punctuality, and posture.
• Follow ethical codes that protect confidentiality, including HIPAA and other industry standards.
• Act as a cultural liaison when necessary.
• Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource to contribute to successful outcomes.
• Perform duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Maintain prompt communication with the coordinating team via text, email, and voicemail.

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to explain and interpret idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
• Open to working during business hours, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm.

Positions are primarily required during business hours, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. While assignments may occur 24/7, most requests are during business hours.
