Overview

A rapidly growing provider of advanced automation, robotics, and mobile manufacturing solutions within the food and beverage sector is seeking an Automation Technician on 3rd shift to support operations at its flagship facility.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the Automation Technician will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electromechanical and robotic equipment within mobile or modular production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electromechanical packaging machinery, robotics, air compressors, tray formers, or related equipment.
  • Support equipment deployments, installations, and production line changeovers using pre-programmed recipes.
  • Diagnose equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams on corrective actions and improvements.
  • Install upgrades, modifications, and replacement components as directed.
  • Follow preventive maintenance procedures and accurately record work in a CMMS.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Perform lubrication, cleaning, servicing, and general mechanical upkeep on production equipment.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned in support of operations.
Qualifications
  • This time round we are seeking people with specific experience in high-pressured & fast pace production & automated environments. Ideally within Manufacturing, Packaging or the Food & Beverage industries
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; proficient with hand tools.
  • Competent with computers and digital maintenance systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V preferred.
  • Experience working with industrial robots and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Understanding of safety practices for factory and automated environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong sense of urgency and ownership.
