Extrusion Operator | Now Hiring | Temple, TX
Compensation:
- Pay rate starting at $ per hour
Available
Shifts:
- 7:30am-4:00pm
- 3:30pm-12:00pm - shift premium $1.00 per hour
- 11:30pm-8:00am - shift premium $1.25 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Extrusion Operator consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization
- Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine
- Provide innovative solutions for production issues
- Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel
- Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
- Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects
- Observes all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines
- Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Setup Operator or Extrusion Machine Operator
- Ability to show up for work prior to shift and be prepared to get the day going on time
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience working with Extrusion Machines
- Excellent communication skills, detailed record keeping per the prescribed frequency
- Analytical and math skills
- Ability to perform quality checks and have an understanding of production measurement tools
- Knowledge of product quality standards
- Comfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard-nets, steel-toed shoes/boots, ear protection and bump-caps when required
- Manual dexterity
