Role Summary
The Production Helpers are responsible for analyzing and weighting production process performance, reporting, monitoring results from each station. Responsible for maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting line and pipe. Responsible for production documentation compliance including audit of SWIS (Standard Work Instruction Sheets);
Quality objectives in a manufacturing environment. Performs other tasks as needed. Machine experience preferred.
- Transfer finish material from Mixing or Casting station to Casting or Polishing station.
- Count pre-sheets and place each at the right station.
- Understanding process capability/repeatability with existing operations.
- Monitor and inspect sheets for defects and size during operation.
- Clean up pipe, roller and filter as needed.
- Load / Unload protective film by lift.
- Cut down patterns or overlay if needed to reduce loss.
- Monitor pattern colors and designs.
- Operate lift to exchange pallets, reorganize mixing inventory.
- Perform housekeeping in Sanding & Polishing area.
- Be able to pass a color test.
- Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules / regulations governing.
- Ability to communicate well in a production operation environment.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to be comfortable and safety conscious when operating machinery.
- Ability to drive a forklift and pallet jack.
- Be able to work with certain chemicals (such as Methyl Methacrylate, Ethyl Acetate, Acetone, etc.).
Education:
High School Graduate or GED.
Experience:
1+ years, one year of work experience.
Heavy work. Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs). Examples: grounds staff.
EnvironmentLocated in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff.
