Job Overview
Quality Inspector in the Cut‑To‑Size department. Responsibilities include inspecting laminate sheets for size, pattern, type, and finish; verifying packing instructions; placing inspected material in designated tables; documenting rejects; completing shift productivity; and maintaining a clean work area. Works overnight (9 PM‑7 AM, including weekends).

- Starts shift by checking power industrial trucks (PIT)
- Receives all orders for the day
- Work orders by Team Lead's instruction and ship dates
- Check orders against storage list
- Sets up workstation for saw inspection and or full‑size pack
- Works/handles material pulled against order
- Scan order barcode into R12 to verify all packing instructions
- Verify size, pattern, type, finish
- Check each sheet for breaks or rejects
- Correctly place tags with saw cut info
- Place laminate that has passed inspection onto designated table(s)
- Place rejected laminate onto designated table(s)
- Enter rejected laminate information into system
- Turn in productivity sheet to Team Lead
- Turn in shortages to pullers
- Complete assigned area cleaning by end of shift
- Use of proper sized pallets and other packing materials
- Ability to follow customer packing instructions
- Must band material following proper procedures
- Possesses knowledge of and inspects to Wilsonart's quality standards
- Possesses knowledge of and inspects to ISO
4586 NEMA quality standards - Possesses working knowledge of department and facility safety standards
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of laminate pattern codes, cores, finishes, etc.
- Employee will be trained and signed off on PIT equipment
- Possesses ability to flip laminate without causing breakages
- Possesses basic computer skills
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Possess ability to use a micrometer

1+ years of experience working in distribution and/or manufacturing.
Physical RequirementsContinuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs).
EnvironmentLocated in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises, and bright lights.
