CNC Machinist

** CNC Machinist - Afternoon Shift*
* A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support production operations in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, inspection, and troubleshooting while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in producing high-quality parts, working independently, and contributing to a team-focused manufacturing operation.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

+ Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials required for production.

+ Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment.

+ Load, edit, and run machine programs as required.

+ Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.

+ Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with specifications.

+ Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues.

+ Perform routine machine care and support equipment maintenance activities.

+ Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.

+ Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support production goals.

+ Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

+ Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and quality.

** Qualifications*
* + High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and inspection methods.

+ Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

+ Ability to perform basic program edits and machine adjustments.

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.

+ Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

** Physical Requirements*
* + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.

+ Frequent use of hands and arms to operate machinery and handle materials.

+ Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

+ Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment and moderate noise levels.

** Pay Details:**  $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
