Key Responsibilities
  • Execute aseptic manufacturing processes in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This includes preparation, setup, operation, and monitoring of aseptic blowing/filling, cleaning, and sterilizing of the aseptic block equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of chemicals used in the aseptic block equipment and their critical interactions (GHS & SDS).
  • Apply basic concepts of microbiology, pH, low‑acid and high‑acid products, and causes of sterility loss.
  • Monitor all critical control points (CCPs) of the aseptic block equipment using a human‑machine interface (HMI) to ensure final product sterility.
  • Identify and address potential contamination risks, collaborating with the supervisor and Quality or Maintenance teams to mitigate or eliminate them.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot aseptic block equipment, including filling and blow‑molding machines, sterilizers, and filtration systems.
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance conditions, adjust machine controls, and respond quickly to alarms to prevent unnecessary downtime.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating (CIL) the aseptic block equipment under the supervision of a Maintenance Technician.
  • Follow Quality Control procedures for in‑process checks, sampling, and inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and other quality control tests to identify deviations or defects and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Test torque, top load, bottle section weights, and cleaning/sterilization chemical concentrations, including the ability to perform titrations.
  • Accurately document all production activities, including production logs, machine reports, quality reports, and downtime reports, using software such as Presage and Infinity.
  • Adhere to cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with Niagara’s quality systems and external regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), housekeeping, and participating in safety training programs.
  • Report any safety incidents, near misses, or hazards to the supervisor.
  • Comply with Niagara’s cost control, yield, and employee safety policies.
  • Follow guidelines for proper equipment handling and operation.
  • Abide by Niagara’s food safety plan and quality policies for aseptic beverage production.
  • Work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision and perform relief duties when required.
  • Use computer systems such as Oracle/MES or current order management systems.
  • Understand line flow, possible bottlenecks, and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a position operating aseptic machines.
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Six (6) years of experience in a position operating aseptic machines.
  • Two (2) years of experience managing people or projects.
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
