Environmental Compliance Technician

This position is responsible for environmental compliance and management of regulated electrical equipment.

• Confirm unit details match continuation sheet and fix discrepancies.
• Print and use WHSE reports to confirm that all units are physically in their assigned areas.
• Report discrepancies to Environmental Compliance Coordinator or Environmental Manager and resolve from unit information found in Syspro.
• Pull oil samples and decide if unit needs tested and tagged.
• Load trailers with regulated and non-regulated equipment to deliver for off‑site disposal.
• Identify if units have been evacuated of SF6 gas, follow SOP to ensure unit is properly emptied. Elevate questions to Environmental Compliance Coordinator.
• Proper use of PPE when processing units and materials.
• Promptly respond to requests by EH&S Department.
• Maintain compliance by consulting EH&S Management/SOP with questions regarding unlabeled and untagged equipment.

• High School Diploma, Required.
• Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
• Help team members resolve questions and help with the workload.
• A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
• Professional language and always conduct.
• Ability to learn other areas enough to fill in where required.
