Shipping And Receiving Associate 2nd Shift
This position is full-time and permanent, working the 2nd shift from 12:00PM to 8:00PM (or until all trucks are loaded. Some weekends will be required). The base pay rate is $17.00 per hour plus $.50 shift differential. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. This position has the potential for overtime.
Duties and responsibilities include loading product on the trailer using a packing list to verify that all parts are accounted for, placing parts on the trailer in a safe hauling manner in accordance with manufacturing procedures to ensure the product does not get damaged during shipment, knowing and understanding all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment, packaging, crating, or loading items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading, packaging parts using all types of crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment and for weighing trucks of items as required, constantly checking each load being made to assure that the job is complete, expediting completion of work in process to meet production schedules, assisting with inventory counts as required, maintaining continuous improvement practices in work area, and may be assigned other projects or duties as designated by the Team Leader.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred, ability to operate forklifts and other lifting equipment, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
