Job Summary
Floater position that will be responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used in the manufacturing of components and/or finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.
Position ScopeMaintains daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager, and other employees in the department to ensure the needs of all internal and external customers as outlined by the production schedule are met. The position works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.
Skills / RequirementsEducation:
High school education or GED. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations.
Experience:
On the job training is provided; prior machine experience is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
Must have basic reading, writing and math skills.
Must have the ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Responsibilities- Must be able to read and complete the labeling process.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Operate the machinery proficiently according to customer specifications and the daily production schedule.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets all specifications.
- Monitor the equipment to keep downtime minimal.
- Input pertinent data into the SAP system.
- Make machine adjustments when necessary.
- Read and interpret a tape measure.
- Assist with inventory, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
