Texas Hydraulics is hiring experienced Machinists for our new Weekend Shift
. Work 36 hours each week and get paid for 40
This job is for machinists who care about the work and the results. As a Machinist II, you ll set up and run a range of conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines to produce quality parts that meet print and hold tolerance. You ll use your hands, your head, and your experience to keep machines running right and parts coming off the way they should.

What You’ll Do
Read and work from blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to understand dimensions, tolerances, setups, and machining sequenceMeasure, mark, and scribe materials and work pieces to guide machiningSet up machines by selecting and securing fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materialsCalculate, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cutLoad, retrieve, and edit CNC programs as neededStart machines and keep an eye on them, spotting problems before they turn into scrapMake adjustments when parts are out of tolerance to keep quality on trackInspect finished parts to make sure they meet print and quality requirementsRun trial parts to verify machine setup and program accuracyTroubleshoot machining and program issues and make corrections at the machineVerify and adjust common G and M codes to keep machines cutting the way they shouldRun higher-complexity machines and tools with confidence and careWork with engineers, programmers, and production teammates to solve machining or assembly issuesTake part in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean practices, machine PMs, 5S, and Kaizen eventsUnderstand how your daily work ties into production goals and area boardsKnow your tooling and machine limits and work within themHold yourself and others to high ethical and workmanship standardsHandle other duties as neededWhat You Bring
You ve paid your dues and know your way around the shop.
High School diploma or GED with at least two years of machining experience, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on workProven mastery as a Machinist I, ready to operate at the Machinist II levelStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and CNC operationAbility to follow safety rules, work instructions, and procedures without cutting cornersSolid math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and standard units of measureWork Environment- Regular exposure to moving machinery, vibration, and loud noise
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to extreme heat (non-weather related)

Physical Requirements - Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, and move around the shop throughout the shift
- Use hands for handling tools, materials, and machine controls
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate and hear clearly in a manufacturing environment
