SUMMARY
Under the general guidance of the Vice President of Development and External Relations, the Executive Director, Marketing, Strategic Communication, and Community Outreach, is responsible for developing and implementing Temple College's recruitment, outreach, communication, and community engagement. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing comprehensive marketing, recruitment, and outreach plans to expand the college’s presence and managing all aspects of Temple College's public relations, marketing, and social media.
QUALIFICATIONS(REQUIRED AND PREFFERED)
Bachelor's degree and six years of directly related full-time work experience, or an associate’s degree and eight years of directly related full-time work experience. An education discipline in communications, marketing, graphic design, web design, public relations, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge and level of competency are commonly associated with the completion of a master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the units in the division/department to direct and coordinate work within the division/department.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate teams responsible for recruiting, outreach, and community engagement. Ensure alignment with the college’s strategic enrollment goals and brand positioning while cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive recruitment and outreach strategies that expand the college’s reach to diverse student populations, including traditional, adult, and underrepresented learners, using data-driven planning and measurable performance metrics.
- Oversees internal and external communications, media relations, marketing, the College website, and the switchboard.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental effectiveness by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), assessing program impact, managing budgets, and implementing continuous improvements to optimize recruitment outcomes and strengthen community relationships.
- Coordinates with representatives from various college schools and departments to strategize and implement advertising and marketing for specific events, programs, and special projects through publications, the college website, social media, video, media buys, digital advertising, and press releases.
- Develop, implement, and oversee college branding to ensure adherence to standards across all advertising, promotional, and marketing efforts.
- Serves as editor and supervises staff in developing weekly, monthly, and annual college publications, as well as website and social media strategies and content.
- Directs specific activities at the institutional level to support communications strategies, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, institutional publications, and the College’s websites. This includes the design, production, placement, and budget management of all advertising and promotion for special College activities.
- Maintains a strategic communication plan and program for the College, through which a consistent and appropriate image is conveyed to a variety of audiences and which allows sufficient flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs and activities of the College and the audience to whom it is projected.
- Maintains close relationships with local or regional media personnel and outlets. The incumbent will promptly forward media releases, in various hard-copy or electronic formats, to these agencies for publication.
- Serves as the College's media spokesperson and point of contact.
