RN Hospice Palliative Care MedSurg

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Palliative/Hospice Unit (STC‑4).

Full Time – 36 hours per week – Day Shift 7 am–7 pm.

Temple, TX.

STC‑4 is a 29‑bed telemetry inpatient unit located in our Special Treatment Center, focusing on Hospice/Palliative care. Working on STC‑4 offers the opportunity to care for both acute and end‑of‑life patients, collaborating with internal medicine, hospice, and palliative teams to deliver compassionate, multidisciplinary care.

• Sepsis patients
• Diabetes care
• Transfers from Medical Surgical units and ICU patients
• Admissions from ED
• High‑level pain control – PCA
• Patients with impaired respiratory status
• Patients needing nutritional support care
• Infection control
• GI abnormalities
• Wound care
• Trach care

• Graduate of RN school of nursing
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Active RN license
• Minimum of 6 months of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer

• Graduate of an accredited program
• Specialized field of study in nursing
• RN license
• BLS certification or required within 30 days of starting this role
