Are you an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiovascular surgery and delivering exceptional patient care in the operating room? We are seeking a highly skilled RN to support a busy cardiovascular surgical team in Temple, Texas.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside top surgeons while gaining valuable experience in complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
Assignment Details- Location:
Temple, TX - Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Pay Rate: $62.00 per hour
Shift Options:
- Monday – Friday
: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM - Monday – Wednesday
: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekend and Float Coverage Only When Called In
Position OverviewAs a CVOR Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff throughout the perioperative process. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in complex cardiovascular procedures and thrive in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety during procedures
- Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with complex cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
- Accurately document patient care and surgical activities
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 2 years of CVCT surgery nursing experience
- Experience with:
- Open Heart Surgery
- Open Vascular Surgery
- Endovascular Procedures
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high‑acuity surgical setting
