RN Obs Unit Nights

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Observation Unit.

Full Time – 36 hours per week – Night shift 7pm-7am

This 31-bed nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from adults to geriatrics. The goal for these patients is to diagnose, monitor and treat within 36 hours. The conditions within the scope of service for the Observation Unit include but are not limited to:

• Chest pain
• CHF
• Syncope
• Dehydration
• Abdominal-gastrointestinal conditions

Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level.

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Active RN License
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Specialized field of study: nursing
• Current RN license
• Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role
