Registered Nurse - Mother​/Baby

Position Overview

Find your calling at Mercy! Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Graduate from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure; meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or complete the course within 30 days of hire.
• May be required to hold one or more of the following certifications based on position/unit: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, and any unit‑specific certifications as required.

Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
