Job Summary
Position:
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit
Location:
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital, Temple, TX
Schedule:
Full Time, 36 hours per week – Days.
STC 3 is a 35‑bed monitored hospital unit that cares for a unique patient population including urology, pulmonary hypertension, kidney and pancreas transplant, peritoneal dialysis, and radio‑active therapy cases. It is the only floor equipped with lead‑lined rooms for patients receiving radioactive therapies in the inpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Peritoneal Dialysis management
- Epidural placement and care
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation
- Nephrostomy and Urostomy care
- Complex urinary catheter insertions and care
- Suprapubic catheter insertion and care
- Training in ultrasound‑guided IV insertion
- Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN)
- Certified Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse (CPDN)
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN)
- Certified Urology Nurse (CURN)
- Medical‑Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN)
