Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time - 36 hours per week - Nights
Location: Temple, TX
Unit SummaryThis is a 38-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit. Working on 5 North provides the opportunity to care for adults and geriatrics. Patients include high-acuity cases such as:
- Post ICU trauma patients (serious injury to two or more body systems)
- Traumatic intra-thoracic injury, intra-abdominal injury, and complex fractures
- Traumatic musculoskeletal wounds
- Complex cholecystectomy and appendectomy
- Bariatric surgery
- Colorectal surgery (bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease)
- Thoracic surgeries – lobectomy, esophagostomy
- Urology – prostatectomy
- Neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery
