Responsibilities
Support plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), reporting to the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and receiving medical guidance from the Center Physician.
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, HIV/AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Assess donor reactions and manage adverse events according to SOPs.
- Coordinate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues and for reporting unacceptable findings to donors.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and assess whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to investigate pandemic threats.
- Maintain familiarity with plasma collection regulations and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidance.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completed FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationHourly wage range: $23.04 - $31.68. The actual wage offered will be based on qualifications, experience, and local minimum wage requirements.
