We're currently seeking a Charge Nurse to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; the #1 city in the nation for nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit offers ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:

We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary conditions or respiratory distress
• Chest pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions, and chest tubes
• Enteral feeding tube insertion and maintenance
• Patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who has completed an established program in Nursing.
• At least (2) two years in the field.
• Registered Nurse License.
• You must have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
