How you’ll contribute- Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
- Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
- Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
- Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
- Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
- Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
EducationRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a nursing assistant training course.
Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
LicensesCurrent state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
CertificationsCPR/BCLS certification required.
SchedulePRN – required schedule: 12-hr shifts days, 7a - 7p, must have 1-2 days of availability per week to include at least 1 weekend shift per schedule. Work minimally 1 major & 1 minor holiday per year.
