Unit Details- Skilled Nursing Unit with 23 beds
- 5:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high‑quality, patient‑centered nursing care in the Skilled Nursing Unit. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care throughout the patient’s stay.
Essential Responsibilities- Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care to skilled nursing patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy services, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and recovery goals.
- Accurately document patient care in the medical record.
- Uphold Baylor Scott & White standards for safety, quality, and service excellence.
The RN coordinates patient care delivery by the health care team, uses the nursing process, identifies diagnoses, implements individualized plans, evaluates outcomes, and delegates appropriately. The RN covers inpatient and outpatient departments, including on‑call staffing where applicable.

Note:

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license (or compact license) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Preferred: previous experience in skilled nursing, acute care, or continuing care.
