Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. The staff nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Job duties include prioritizing and formulating a plan of care based on patient assessment and according to policy, documenting and reassessing any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy, and providing education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations.
Qualifications include a graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing, a minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred, and currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing. Additional requirements include CPR certification and training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 30 days of employment.
