RN Med Surg Nights

Full‑Time: 36 hours/week – Nights 7pm‑7am

Registered Nurses are needed for the Medical Telemetry Unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.

The hospital is a 636‑bed specialty teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

The unit is 38 beds focused on high‑level, direct, individualized care with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities.

• Pulmonary conditions or respiratory distress
• Chest pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation, including negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care, including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio‑cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes
• Enteral feeding tube insertion and maintenance
• Patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities

• Graduate of an RN school of nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

• Graduated from an accredited program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing
• RN license
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role
