Med/Surg | RN | 13-Week Travel Contract – Temple, TX Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Travel Nursing Job in Temple, TX

Travel RN opportunity in Temple, Texas: bring your Med/Surg nursing experience to a 13-week acute care assignment in a rehabilitation-focused environment.   • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
  • Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg / rehabilitation-focused acute care
  • Location: Temple, TX 76504
  • Weekly

    Hours:

    36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification required prior to first shift
  • Current ACLS certification required prior to first shift
  • Strong Med/Surg, acute care, or hospital nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, assessment, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
  • Complete thorough nursing assessments within the first 8 hours of admission
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Provide timely updates for team conferences and patient re-evaluations
  • Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Support patient and family education with a focus on recovery goals and discharge readiness
  • Initiate discharge planning beginning on the day of admission
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in the medical record
  • Communicate changes in patient condition clearly to physicians, charge nurses, and care team members
  • Supervise and guide LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary staff as appropriate
  • Promote a safe environment by following nursing policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and support efficient unit operations
