Candidate Profile

Must Have:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Texas veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Current DEA license, or ability to obtain one
  • USDA Category I accreditation, or willingness to complete accreditation within the required timeframe
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Comfortable with anesthesia and routine small animal surgery
  • Professional, compassionate approach to clients, patients, and colleagues
