Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Compensation

Hourly rate: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Commission structure:
Earn up to 8% on sales transactions, averaging an additional $2.94 per hour on top of your base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time retail sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves delivering excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, handling sales, loans, and other transactions, and assisting customers with inquiries and problem resolution.

• Greet and engage customers, building rapport and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, restock, and display merchandise on the sales floor.
• Conduct sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per company policies.
• Answer incoming calls in line with company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and effective communication.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete all required training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to stand, stoop, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift for extended periods.
• Work with firearms; ability to obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Multi‑tasking ability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office equipment.

Commission incentives are proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit and personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview.
