Junior Sales Representative
We are seeking driven individuals to join our dynamic team as a Junior Sales Representative specializing in supplemental insurance.
Responsibilities- Business‑to‑business cold calling, meeting with potential clients, and educating them on supplemental insurance offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing their insurance needs while building your book of business.
- Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals.
- Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer's individual needs.
- Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients.
- Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited to, cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients.
- Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs.
- Experience using accounting or sales‑related software is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Must be a superb communicator able to analyze complex ideas such as insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial.
- Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an insurance license.
- Already licensed in Health & Life general lines (or willing and able to obtain a Health & Life producer license – licensing reimbursement offered).
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post‑high school) work experience; candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion and those with less than 4 years of professional work experience who have relevant or specialized outside sales experience will be considered.
Competitive compensation structure that includes an initial six‑week weekly draw pay, generous commissions, performance‑based bonuses, and incentives. Salary range $75,000 – $90,000 per year.
