Associate Diesel Technician
As an Associate Diesel Technician, you'll perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic repairs and replacements. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and replacement, performing basic welding, preventative and predictive repair maintenance, assisting in basic welding, repair, and brake systems, and troubleshooting basic electrical systems, engine operations, trans/differential operations, air conditioning, and cooling systems. You will also perform safety-sensitive tractor repairs with Trainer or Foreman assistance.
Qualifications include 0+ years of mechanical experience, experience as a tractor mechanic, a skilled level of welding (preferred), understanding of general shop safety requirements, familiarity with general preventative maintenance and safety procedures, general mechanical aptitude, ability to read schematic diagrams, HS diploma or GED or equivalent, 2+ years of trade school or 0+ years of mechanical experience, ability to obtain a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License within 6 months, begin actively pursuing the certification for next Technician level, meet H-E-B driving qualifications, obtain the minimum expected tool set, and obtain state inspection DOT certification within 1 year of hire.
