We are seeking Cable Technician I candidates for a long-term data center construction project in Temple, TX. This project is expected to last a minimum of one year. Technicians will work both indoors and outdoors supporting data center build-out activities.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:45 PM
Schedule may transition to 10-hour shifts based on project needs.
Responsibilities
+ Pull and route cabling
+ Assist Cable Technician II personnel with installation activities
+ Move, stage, and handle materials
+ Utilize hand and power tools
+ Climb ladders as required
+ Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
+ Build telecommunications closets, including mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware, and associated equipment
+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
+ Complete IDC terminations, including 110/66 blocks and patch panels
+ Pull wire and support conduit installation and wire-pulling activities
+ Operate tools and equipment such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers
Required Skills

+ Cat6 cabling
+ Punchdown experience
Additional Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
+ Valid driver's license
+ Must possess and be proficient with the following tools:
+ Screwdrivers (Phillips and standard)
+ Drywall saw
+ Torpedo level
+ Tape measure
+ Snips with belt sheath
+ Needle nose pliers
+ Channel lock pliers
+ Hammer
+ Cable stripper
+ Flashlight
+ Gloves
Training & Travel
Selected technicians must be willing to travel to a project site in Ohio or Iowa for approximately 3 to 6 weeks of training prior to assignment in Temple, TX.
Per Diem: $50 per day during training travel.

Tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.
Able to lift 40lbs
Valid drivers license
Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temple, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
