CDL Truck Driver Residential

Job Summary

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks with load‑lift attachments. They transport material to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities, pick up containers, and navigate congested traffic. Commercial drivers serve container pickups, residential drivers collect household waste, and roll‑off drivers handle large open‑top containers.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and all applicable laws.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and document checks using the DVIR.
• Report unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notify Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, closed streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Dump all receptacles and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Follow route assignments and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out process.
• Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Successfully complete pre‑employment screening, including drug test and physical.
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with air‑brake endorsement or CDL Class B with air‑brake endorsement.
