Activity Based Driver
As an Activity Based Driver, you'll drive, perform preventive maintenance, and be responsible for the content, condition, and security of cargo. Key responsibilities include transportation operations, maintaining equipment, completing required documents, monitoring temperature settings, and ensuring the security of cargo. You will also adhere to accountability methods for receiving products and maintain status as a qualified driver in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
You will perform delivery driver duties and may be required to perform other job-related tasks as requested by your supervisor.
Qualifications and key requirements include being 21 years or older, having 2 years and 100,000 miles of driving experience, and having no DWI/DUI or felony convictions. You must have a good driving record, knowledge of English, proficiency in DOT, local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A high school diploma or equivalent, FMCSA-qualified driver status, and successful passing of DOT physical, DOT drug screen, background check, and verification of work history are also required.
You must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen, and meet all DOT driver qualifications.
Physical demands include working up to 70 hours per week in accordance with DOT regulations, regularly lifting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending, and occasionally lifting 25 - 75 lbs.
