About the role
The Warehouse Unloader (AKA Lumper) is responsible for unloading merchandise in accordance with established safety, procedural and accuracy standards to meet the warehouse operation goals.

- Must be able to identify products by size, type, color or product code.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
- Basic math skills.
- Reasoning skills with the ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Must have the ability to work safely in a warehouse environment.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must maintain certification, if using powered industrial equipment.
- Good organizational and time management skills in order to meet goals.
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems or the ability to learn.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. This position frequently requires to stand; walk;
and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. Must be physically capable of constantly lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
& Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent; years of experience preferred.
- Previous working experience as a warehouse worker, preferred.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods or the ability to learn processes and procedures.
- Must maintain certification, if using powered industrial equipment.
- This position works in a warehouse setting with various temperatures. Warehouse temperatures vary from freezer, refrigerator, climate‑controlled to no climate‑control warehouses as well as some outdoor exposure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, two‑way forklift flow and loud noise.
