The Material Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as packing, un-packing, staging, retrieving, and stocking material.
Duties/Responsibilities- Unload skids of defective material daily and receive into Acer inventory system.
- Safely handle and operate pallet jacks.
- Proper packing of products and ability to use automated packing equipment.
- Perform routine warehouse cycle counts as directed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse, shipping department, or electronics repair environment is preferred.
- On-site presence is required at the office 5 days per week. Work is full-time, Monday through Friday during standard working hours; day shift 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be available to work within this timeframe.
- Flexible scheduling with the potential for overtime and weekend shifts based on production volume.
- Ability to maintain a strict 96% (rolling 13-week) attendance and punctuality average.
- Ability to freely and safely traverse all areas of the facility, navigate stairs, and tolerate prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking across the warehouse floor.
- Excellent fine motor skills and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard, utilize traditional telephone equipment, and safely handle box cutters or similar tools.
- Ability to safely manipulate, lift, and manage parts or equipment weighing up to 45 lbs. using proper ergonomic lifting techniques.
- Ability to see, hear, and maintain sharp visual focus and depth perception at close distances.
- Ability to effectively communicate in person or via telephone with peers and supervisors to maintain operational awareness.
- Footwear Requirements: Close-toed shoes are mandatory on the production floor.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in ambient room temperatures with lighting and traditional warehousing equipment as found in typical, climate-controlled warehouses and office environments.
- Warehousing equipment such as person lifts and forklifts may be present. Watching and listening to traffic is required.
- You must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
- Maintaining equipment could include the use of chemicals including cleaning and greasing / de-greasing agents.
- Due to the use of tools, the presence of heavy equipment, and use of chemicals / cleaning agents, this position is considered safety sensitive.
