Position: Adult Services Direct Support (Templeton)

Description

We are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4‑bed group home setting with male adults (over the age of 22) with IDD/ASD.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 to $23.87 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Additional $250 bonus if MAP certified.

Available Schedules:

  • Sunday 3 pm – 7 am
  • Monday – Wednesday 11 pm – 7 am

Devereux Massachusetts is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. In our adult community group home in Templeton, individuals learn the skills needed for independent living and are encouraged to make meaningful life choices.

Responsibilities
  • Coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation, and transportation.
  • Administration of medications and completion of required paperwork.
  • Planning and facilitating recreational activities.
  • Supporting individuals in working toward their personal goals.
  • Monitoring safety and security of the home and community.

Qualifications
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work, or special education preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with IDD/ASD preferred.
  • Must be MAPS certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation in Rutland, which runs Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM.
