Tax Senior

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our growing public accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients across a variety of industries, providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services while developing professionally within a collaborative and client-focused environment. The Tax Senior will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

This position requires strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax matters.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members, reviewing work and providing guidance.
  • Assist with tax notices, audits, and other client tax matters.
  • Stay current on tax legislation and industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification.
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Experience with individual, business, and partnership taxation.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
