Job Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including One Stream loading
- Prepare month-end journal entries
- Prepare and review necessary financial reports, statements, and templates
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and reviewing trial balance
- Prepare schedules and monthly binders ensuring Magna Minimum controls are met
- Actively involved in inventory processes—costing, cycle counts, standard vs actual cost reviews/roll-ups/reports and ensuring correctness of BOMs by shop-floor verification
- Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Responsible for the tracking and reporting of capital & tooling projects per Magna guidelines
- Actively support the implementation and tracking of all cost reduction programs
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Controller’s Model file.
- Applies accounting expertise to ensure financial records & statements are in accordance with GAAP and Magna Finance Policy.
- Maintain compliance with Mafact guidelines related to Finance
- All other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience – manufacturing experience a plus
- ERP systems (CMS)
- GAAP compliance

- Auditing
