Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a fast-moving accounting team. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is well suited for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can step in quickly, keep financial activities organized, and help maintain accuracy across daily accounting tasks. The person in this role will contribute to core accounting operations, assist during close activities, and provide steady support while the team addresses priority projects and outstanding work.

Responsibilities:

• Manage routine accounting activities and provide day-to-day support to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing entries, organizing supporting schedules, and helping meet reporting deadlines.
• Reconcile multiple bank accounts and research discrepancies to ensure balances are complete and accurate.
• Maintain financial records with a high level of accuracy and help preserve the integrity of accounting documentation.
• Assist with accounting work related to prepaid expenses, accrued items, and trial balance review.
• Partner with the accounting team to address workload demands while special projects and backlog items are being completed.
• Use Excel to organize data, track account activity, and support reporting and reconciliation efforts.
