Records Clerk

Job Summary

Records Clerk – $15.76 per hour. Core Civic seeks a dedicated professional to maintain, update, and disposition all inmate/resident records and files in a secure institutional setting.

• Assemble inmate/resident files from all repositories; review for compliance, verify accuracy, and prepare records for transfers or archives.
• Receive and respond to court correspondence; verify bond coverage, monitor case dispositions, and initiate contact with internal staff, local jurisdictions, and courts.
• Create and maintain up-to-date general and inmate/resident files, including sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date list of inmates/residents scheduled for discharge and process parole certificates, letters of discharge, release authorizations, and notifications.

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent required.
• Experience in records management within a correctional institution or office preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other PC applications preferred.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age.
