Specialist- Procurement

Overview

Assists with sourcing and procurement related assignments, including program management, sourcing and competitive bidding activities, contract administration, category management support, customer and supplier research and problem resolution, and timely ordering, delivery and inventory management of goods and services to support business operations.

• Contributes to supplier selection and onboarding, including competitive bidding, supplier negotiations and vendor management activities.
• Assists with developing business stakeholder relationships, providing support in navigating procurement processes and procedures.
• Actively uses quality tools, participating in activities that identify and implement enhancements to procurement and vendor administration processes, policies and systems.
• Uses appropriate system of records, monitoring, tracking and maintaining overall program, process and systems compliance.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor s degree/equivalency in business related field.
• Two (2) years  experience in procurement/sourcing.
• Knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a Fed Ex Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a Fed Ex Freight location several times per week.
