Aviation Parts Specialist responsible for working with maintenance staff to fulfill parts requests, compile records for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment, and ensuring quality service.

As an Aviation Parts Specialist, you will impact PSA Airlines’ operations by working with maintenance staff to fulfill their parts requests and needs, compiling records related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment, and supporting the maintenance department to ensure quality service.

• Ship, receive, and store HAZMAT materials, and become HAZMAT certified during the initial training period (prior experience a plus).
• Properly record, issue, and receive parts/assemblies.
• Maintain M&E inventory computer system to current status and report inconsistencies to Stores Supervisor.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies and solvents.
• Perform stock transfers of parts and physically move stock between locations.
• Properly receive and issue parts via the M&E inventory computer system.
• Operate a forklift, requiring certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Stores Supervisor/Manager.
• Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management & Safety Assurance outputs.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Preferred

• Previous aircraft inventory experience.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Stores.

Authorities: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.

Work Environment: Approximately 90% inside a climate-controlled building, 10% outside in all weather. Use of standard office equipment.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk or hear, sit; stand; walk; climb stairs; bend/stoop; push/pull, lift up to 50 lbs.; use hands; reach. Rarely crawl, kneel, or repetitive motions.

Security Clearance: Pass fingerprint-based criminal history records check per 49

CFR.
