Role OverviewThe Product Analyst will support the Product Management team by assisting with day‑to‑day product activities, analysis, and cross‑functional coordination. This role plays a critical part in supporting product launches, conducting market and competitive research, evaluating supplier offerings, and enabling Product Managers to make informed, data‑driven decisions. The position provides strong exposure to core product‑management activities and serves as a development role for future product leadership opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support product managers in daily activities including:
- Product resourcing for cost and quality improvement
- Cataloging
- Part application research
- Review automotive parts and provide customer technical information for product attributes such as size, electrical connections, function, and materials.
- Analyze product lifecycle status and recommend changes/obsolations.
- Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to support product strategy, portfolio decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Participate in supplier product reviews by analyzing product offerings, pricing, performance data, and market fit.
- Support product lifecycle management activities including consolidations, new product introductions, and product line extensions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Purchasing, Catalog, Pricing, Warehouse Operations, Sales, and Marketing to support product initiatives.
- Help identify process improvements and opportunities to increase efficiency within the Product Management group.
- Provide analytical and administrative support for special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in Product Management and Product Launches.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; additional training, education and/or experience will be considered.
- Work experience within Engineering, Product Management, Purchasing, Business Development, Marketing or Sales.
- Demonstrated project management skills with an ability to define and deliver project scope, milestones and overall schedule.
- Strong working knowledge of automotive technology; experience as a technician or auto parts retail management is a plus.
- Familiarity with aftermarket and/or OE catalogs and product information.
- Excellent project management and overall communication skills.
- Strong collaboration ability with suppliers and purchasing.
- Occasional collaboration with customers, sales team, and marketing.
- Proficiency with Excel and web‑based product management database.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up, critical‑thinking and time management skills.
- Travel domestic and international up to 10%.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
- Required to walk significant distances within and between warehouses.
- May require standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, talking and hearing.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
