Summary:
The Staff Kids Care Teachers supervise, nurture, and care for children of the Life Church staff for the fall, spring and summer semesters. Teachers engage with the children while providing a safe, fun, and educational environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Report supply needs to lead teacher in the assigned classroom
- Follow flow and schedule of the assigned classroom
- Communicate with Direct Report and Secondary Report about the needs and health of your area
- Assist Lead Teacher with implementing curricula for assigned classroom that stimulate children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth
- Assist Kids Life Team with other special events and projects
- Nurture and care for children while parents are at work or school
- Perform good hand-washing techniques for disease and infection control
- Ensure children have adequate supplies from home such as diapers, extra clothes, lunch. etc.
- Prepare children for school
- Provide for a child's basic needs including comforting children when they are crying and determining cause of distress
- Report behavior to parents each day
- Follows The Life Church Kids Life standards while staff children are in their care
- Passion for Kids - Create an environment of fun and expectation in your area
- Leadership - Pursue ways to improve as a leader
- Organization - Plan in advance and create solutions through systems that can be scaled and replicated
- Excellence and Innovation - Continue thinking "How can we do this better?"
- Communication & People Skills - Communicate with Kids Life team, SKCC, parents and children on a consistent basis
- Safety - Provide and promote a safe environment in all areas
- Some experience working with children
