Position Overview
The Minister of Worship/Worship Pastor is responsible for leading the worship ministry of Smyrna Baptist Church. This role involves working collaboratively with the pastor to plan worship services that are God-Centered and Christ-Exalting. This is a part-time position focused on using God-given gifts and talents to engage the congregation in meaningful worship.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead congregational singing in Sunday Morning worship services.
- Collaborate with the Pastor to plan and evaluate worship services.
- Oversee the purchase of any music materials within the church’s budget.
- Communicate and coordinate weekly with musicians, volunteers, and staff to ensure the smooth operation of worship services.
- Serve as an active member of Smyrna Baptist Church, contributing to the overall vision and mission of the church.
- Must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must be willing to join as a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
- Must believe and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000.
- Must be a gifted worship leader.
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must have a heart for service, teamwork, and worship.
- Instrumental ability is a plus.
