Pathologist in East Tennessee

James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join their dynamic team in Johnson City, TN.

• Looking for experience and training in Hematopathology

Clinical Duties:

The pathologist will participate in Surgical Pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology services. The work assignment will depend upon training, expertise, competency, specialist training, and certification.

The service is affiliated with East Tennessee State University and the pathologist is required to teach the pathology residents in clinical and anatomical pathology. Experience in teaching residents is preferred.

The successful candidate must be board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition, a solid background as a generalist in surgical pathology and cytopathology with either documented long-term experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears, or be hematopathology fellowship trained and either board-certified, or board eligible in hematopathology is required.
