The Department of Politics at The University of the South seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Comparative Politics or International Relations.

This is a full-time faculty appointment with a teaching load of six courses per year.

The department is committed to high-quality undergraduate instruction and seeks a colleague dedicated to teaching and contributing to the Comparative Politics and International Relations subfields.

Primary responsibilities include:

* Teaching six courses per year

* Teaching introductory courses such as Introduction to Comparative Politics or World Politics

* Teaching additional courses within the Comparative Politics or International Relations subfields aligned with the candidate's expertise

* Contributing to undergraduate education within the political science curriculum

A successful candidate will:

* Applicants with a PhD are preferred; ABDs will be considered.

* Demonstrate the ability to teach introductory courses in Comparative Politics or International Relations

* Show capacity to teach upper-level courses within their area of expertise

* Exhibit a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching

* Provide evidence of effective teaching (e.g., syllabi)
