Sale Creek Middle/High School (SCMHS) is a 6–12 school just north of Chattanooga, serving a close-knit rural community. Supported by families, alumni, and local businesses, we take pride in offering big opportunities in a small-school setting.
Our programs include competitive athletics, a growing band, a top-performing JROTC (with one-third of students participating), eLab access, eCars, and a wide range of dual enrollment college-level courses. Through our Future Ready Institute, students explore pathways in Construction, Engineering, and Marketing, earning industry certifications and gaining hands‑on experience through projects like building and marketing Tiny Houses.

Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families

- Experience in Title I or high‑need school settings is a plus
- Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in Social Studies 6-8, 6-12 Social Studies OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
Compensation & Additional Info:
- Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
- Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
