Interim 7th Grade Science Teacher

Norris Middle School is seeking a qualified and student-centered Interim 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. This position will serve students during a temporary assignment and offers an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about science instruction and building positive relationships with middle school students.

Position:
Interim 7th Grade Science Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, standards-based science instruction for 7th grade students.
• Develop and implement lessons aligned to Tennessee Academic Standards.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to support student achievement.
• Participate in school meetings, professional learning opportunities, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee teaching license preferred.
• Appropriate endorsement in science or a related field preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Experience working with middle school students is preferred.

Employment Dates:
Interim Position – August 2026 through October 2026 (Exact dates may be adjusted based on district needs.)
